City Devastation – Where you begin

[The city gates stand before you, once tall and proud they now hang from the surrounding stonework. To the skilled eyes the old enchantments flicker and dance trying furtively to continue their task of keeping unwanted visitors out. From the stench of decay, and the surrounding Guard bodies it is obvious that something has come to pass here.

In the distance you can hear a strange almost harsh voice, growling words you cannot hear, or perhaps cannot understand – this is where you begin]
